Attention Fuji X Series owners: Adobe has released Lightroom 4.4 which contains updated RAW image processing. You’ll definitely want to upgrade now!
As an aside, I’ve just received a X-E1 loaner from Fuji along with an assortment of lenses to test for an upcoming feature on travel photography. Also being tested is the Panasonic GX-1 and I’m waiting to hear back from Sony about their competing products.
Miguel Navarro – Dear Nick, the in-camera JPEGs from a Nikon DSLR need lots of finetuning, no qtuneioss there. I owned a D200/D300 for years and was never quite happy with the JPEGs. Then, a few weeks ago I bought a Fuji X-E1 with the 35mm and the 60mm and was quite happy for about two weeks. Lucky for me my retailer took the lenses back for the original price and let me have a D600 instead. KEEP THIS IN MIND: You drop a LOT of weight, yes. But at the same time you lose a real autofocus that you can rely on in no matter what situation. I can’t count all the shots my X-E1 (better AF-performance than the X-Pro1) did not lock onto people’s eyes with either lens. You will miss the usability of your D700 tremendously, believe me. Get a D600 and be happy, that camera is a FF-Monster that no Fuji can compete with, save your money.
